1. Gift Certificates and unused portions of Gift Certificates expire two years from the date of issuance.*
2. Gift Certificates must be redeemed through the efollett.com eBookstore web site, http://ebooks.efollett.com toward the purchase of products listed in efollett.com eBookstore's online catalog.
3. Gift Certificates may NOT be redeemed for the purchase of products from third-party sellers through the efollett.com eBookstore web site. Additional merchants and/or third-party sellers may be added without notification. In addition, Gift Certificates may not be redeemed for the purchase of products by any other Web site operated by efollett.com, its affiliates, or any other person or entity.
4. You must have a valid email address to purchase and redeem a Gift Certificate.
5. Gift Certificates cannot be used to purchase other Gift Certificates.
6. Promotional offers, coupons and discounts may not be applied toward the purchase of an efollett.com eBookstore Gift Certificate.
7. The total value of the gift certificate will be applied against the total order amount including sales tax.
8. If your order exceeds the amount of your Gift Certificate, you must pay for the balance with a credit card.
9. The original expiration date will apply to any unused balance.
10. Gift Certificates are non-refundable and are not redeemable for cash.
11. No sales tax is charged when buying a Gift Certificate; however, purchases paid for with a Gift Certificate will be charged applicable sales tax.
12. Gift Certificate cash value is 1/10 of one cent.
13. Gift Certificates and their use on the efollett.com eBookstore Web site are subject to efollett's general Conditions of Use and Privacy Notice.
14. The efollett.com eBookstore is not responsible for lost or stolen Gift Certificates.
15. efollett.com eBookstore will have the right to close customer accounts and request alternative forms of payment if a fraudulently obtained Gift Certificate is either redeemed through the efollett.com eBookstore web site or is redeemed and used to make purchases on the efollett.com eBookstore web site.
16. EFOLLETT.COM AND ITS SUPPLIERS AND AFFILIATES MAKE NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, WITH RESPECT TO GIFT CERTIFICATES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. IN THE EVENT A GIFT CERTIFICATE CODE IS NON-FUNCTIONAL, YOUR SOLE REMEDY, AND OUR SOLE LIABILITY, SHALL BE THE REPLACEMENT OF SUCH GIFT CERTIFICATE. CERTAIN STATE LAWS DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON IMPLIED WARRANTIES OR THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF CERTAIN DAMAGES. IF THESE LAWS APPLY TO YOU, SOME OR ALL OF THE ABOVE DISCLAIMERS, EXCLUSIONS, OR LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU, AND YOU MIGHT HAVE ADDITIONAL RIGHTS.
17. efollett.com eBookstore reserves the right to change these terms and conditions from time to time at its discretion and without notification.

efollett.com eBookstore Gift Certificates are issued and sold by MediaVending Inc., a subsidiary of OverDrive, Inc. a Delaware corporation. The risk of loss and title for Gift Certificates pass to the purchaser upon our electronic transmission to the recipient or delivery to the carrier, whichever is applicable.

*Does not apply in California, Connecticut, Maine or Massachusetts. Expiration date does not apply in any other states where prohibited by law.
